The terrain is ok, the problem is the lighting, everything looks grey, and not very night-ish, so its been pulled why I try to adjust the lighting. The terrain I created in a totally different way to all of the rest of my images. The second, a night scene was something I knocked up in a couple of minutes using a pre-made night time atmosphere. So fake it looks a stick man look realistic. I tried to add a water effect to the river, but I think it looks WAY too fake. The reason for this is that I didn't like the way they came out. The last to images I've done, the river scene and a night time scene I have decided to pull from my release calendar. The problem is that I've been out every day lately as I am on holiday so I haven't been able to do the rendering. Sorry, but as I warned a little while ago, everything has come to a halt. So now a few days a week I'm going to train to improve my times and maybe go back to competitions.Īnyway, renderings just been restarted so I'll bid you all farewell because some of us need our rest ready for another day of physical exhaustion at work tomorrow. This coupled to an on going problem with my foot, which has been around since I was 12 hasn't really helped matters. When I was 8>11 I did a few district events and again when 14 and 15. As a result I have decided to get back into training to try to regain some of my competition form. Over a minute worse for 400m for starters. I sort of realised, with the help of a friend, just how much I've slipped over the last few years. Got work all weekend and at the moment in the week as well, 2 sessions of Karate a week and 1 session of Lifesaving (swimming), gaming (of course), art work and to top it all.more swimming. Small problem at the moment with time management.I haven't got enough of it.

(100 pages of Bill Bryson took me in excess of 18 months!)Īs usual the render is taking so long Windows thinks it has crashed, but unlike everything else in Windows, it has not. Anyone who knows me will tell you this could take a *Long* time.
The problem is with the "foam" from the ripples on the beach.
The water line needs to be worked on a little, its getting better compared to previous attempts. All the hills etc were added in afterwards in terragen using the View/Sculpt tool. A WIP is to be uploaded to the Scraps section later tonight/ tomorrow morning that is based on this scene. I used 3 colours and then smoothed them all out.

Got fed up trying to look for real world data to base the scene on.so.I created one in Paint Shop Pro and fiddled with the scaling in Terragen. I want to be able to have the moon in the picture but the lighting is too bright. Done more work on the night time scene, its looking a lot better than before but still not quite there yet (quite literally as its currently rendering).
